Brothers, please read the entire post before acting, from our State Deputy and Executive Secretary:
Worthy Sirs and Catholic Gentlemen,
Over the past week, we have noticed catastrophic and life-threatening flooding occurring in the US Southwestern region, in particular in the states of Texas and New Mexico. Needless to say, our thoughts and prayers are with those who are going through this process which has led to questions being received about how to help those in need. The easiest, and safest, way to support is by donating through Knights of Columbus Charities Inc. (KCCI) earmarked Disaster Relief – Texas Flooding, who through their economies of scale and logistical partnerships, can buy and move the necessary supplies to the locations which need it the most. 100% of all donations through KCCI go to aid those who are served through the charitable outreach programs. The link to KofC Charities can be found above my signature block. This will also be discussed at the next officer huddle.

My Brother Knights,
Good evening, something rather weird is happening with regard to the email our Worthy State Deputy sent this morning as I have received several inquiries about it. First and foremost, please understand KCCI stands for Knights of Columbus Charities Incorporated. Yes this is the same organization, within Supreme, which supports Coats for Kids, Warriors to Lourdes trip, the Ukrainian Solidarity Fund among others. All of these most worthwhile initiatives are orchestrated/executed by the Supreme Council. Us Virginia Knights support these efforts by making charitable donations which was addressed in this morning’s email.
So for those Brothers who are a little confused and felt the need to inform me this is not one of Virginia’s charities you are correct. Virginia’s has two charities; KOVAR and VKCCI.
Lastly, no to the Brother who thought our WSD meant KCIC vice KCCI and just misspelled it. Proceeds from our Christmas Card program go to vocations.
In closing, please be generous in your prayers and monetary donations to help these devastated individuals in the Southwest.
Also please remember John Bradford’s famous phrase, “There but for the grace of God go I”.
Fraternally,
Pat O’Donnell
Executive secretary
PS I hope this helps and clears up any further questions
