From Deacon Larry,
I’m just passing along a message I received from the Ashland Homelessness Task Force, whose meetings I have been attending, in case some of the Knights want to participate. Apparently officials of Hanover County are setting up 4 warming shelters over the next few days, one of which is at Ashland Church of God on Myrtle Street. Here is the text of the message and a link to volunteer:

You may have seen the notice from the County already, but there will be a warming center in town at Ashland Church of God (407 Myrtle St). It is scheduled to open at 7:00am on SUNDAY 1/25/26 and run through at least TUESDAY 1/27/26 but possibly THURSDAY 1/29/26.
Please pass along the information to anyone in need of warm shelter during this time period.
Second, they are in need of volunteers at this site. Sign up for a shift here.
Larry Mikkelson, Deacon
