Brothers,
Many thanks to Kevin Jones and team for a fantastic dinner honoring the veterans of our parish. I will try to put the list together by our meeting Monday of the guys that participated. What a great turn out. I heard nothing but very complimentary comments. Great venue set up and awesome food.
Our next Business meeting is on Monday, November 9th at 6:00 pm, at St. Ann’s, starting with dinner, then Praying the Rosary, followed by our meeting. I understand baked spaghetti is on the menu prepared by our great chefs of Tom, Gregg and Mario, Dave and a few others.
I am hoping to keep our meeting shorter than last, but, we need to have a through conversation of the requirements from Supreme Office of Youth Protection on the release dated 4-2026, attached.
Since our last meeting, we have 3 new members join our council and a former member coming back to our council, with the potential of another transfer into our council. Please step up and become a mentor to these men. Pat Brim has agreed to mentor Armand Border, who joined our council on Thursday, November 5th. We need a mentors to step up and commit to provide guidance for Josh Steers and Jeff Crooke. PGK Scott Kittle has come back to the council. Scott is doing some amazing work at St. Mary’s and can help recruit/develop a new group of men for our council.
We also need to discuss the next GK. Please, brothers, add this topic to your prayer list. We need to keep moving our momentum forward. Fr. Chris stated in a St. Ann’s Mass several weeks ago, there is a lot of work to be done. Our council is involved in a lot of great work, but, there is more impact our council can make. We need many hands to make a lighter load.
Finally… As GK, I request the time for prayers for my wife, Khaki. Khaki is in horrible pain everyday. She has some very hard decisions to make, so prayers please.
Thank you, brother for all you do. I keep saying: if we are doing things for the right reason, God will provide!
Vivat Jesus,
Kennedy
