St Ann’s Picnic Follow Up Committee Meeting

Brothers,

We held our St Ann’s picnic follow-up meeting to discuss “What worked, what be improved”.

First, our Council was greatly thanked for our participation in making the picnic a huge success.  Every member of the committee loved the Sno Cone service we provided and would love us to provide the service at next year’s picnic.

Several good ideas came out of the meeting.  The # 1 issue is to address the time to wait in line for food.  That conjured up a lot of conversation.  Kelly Overstreet will consolidate the committee’s comments and present them to the Parish Life Committee.

    Would they want the Knights to do some cooking? What about going out to various restaurants for food?

    Thank you for your feedback, Mario. A couple of Knights at the picnic suggested the Knights grill hot dogs and hamburgers. I did not bring that up in the meeting due to the direction of the conversation and there is plenty of time for that suggestion to be given. Other food vendors were discussed. Kelly stated that St Ann’s team (above from our committee) wanted to run with the food truck theme. Vendors will be limited to those that are open on Sundays, yep there are many options. Kelly also stated the vendors need a minimum to be sold at the picnic for the short window of three hours.

    Most agree the picnic was a big success for the first year of this type of picnic. A lot of conversation will take place prior to next year’s event.
